American Haunted Homes

The history of the United States of America is well documented from 1492, with the arrival of Christopher Columbus, onwards. However, prior to 1492 there is very little information, therefore we can only confidently provide you with happenings after that time:

* The first European colony was established in St. Augustine Florida by Spain. It was burned down only 21 years into existence.
* The English seize the city of New Amsterdam from the Dutch and rename it New York.
* The French and Indian War against the English: English are the Victors and claim Canada and the American Midwest.
* Boston Massacre: English troops fire on a group of people protesting English taxes.
* The American Revolution: starts at Concord, Lexington and Massachusetts and lasts 6 years to finish at Yorktown and Virginia.
* War against the British in 1812 when DC is burnt down.
* Texans defeated at the Alamo while fighting for independence
* Cherokee Indians are forced to move to Oklahoma, along "The Trail of Tears." Thousands died because of disease and cold weather.
* In the war with Mexico, USA takes control of Texas. However, Mexican territories plague the west.
* President Lincoln is assassinated the same year that the civil war ends with the South's surrender.
* Battle of Wounded Knee is fought in South Dakota, which marks the last major battle between Native Americans and the U.S. troops.
* Spanish-American War: The U.S. claims victory and gain control of the Philippines, Puerto Rico and Guam.
* The Great Depression leads to an unemployment rate of 25%.
* Japan attacks Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The United States enters World War II
* The assassinations of John Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy.
* And of course the well known events of 9/11/2001
* And over 300 episodes of Law and Order.

All this history accounts for the early deaths of millions of lives all across the United States of America. These deaths combined with thousands of years of poorly documented history means that the United States of America is a veritable lightning rod for paranormal activity.
